The Elf Girl

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

The clock traveled around tge clock face as Elise Gwen locked the door, putting her ear to the wood to hear anything that may be coming. Not a sound besides the clock, and her panicked breath. Elise ran to the back room, closing and locking the door there.
She ran to the fireplace and took the poker, waving it at the door, ready for anything to come. She had gotten her last warning note on the kitchen table that had appeared there, without a trace.

'YOU'VE STEPPED OUT OF LINE, THIS WAS YOUR LAST TIME. SHE WILL COME AT HALF-PAST NINE. '

When Elise had finished reading it, the note had immidietly sparked, burning to the middle and leaving only the ashes.

Elise bit her lip. Why?

Tick.

Tock.

Tick.

Tock.

The clock struck half-past nine, making a mighty chime. Elise turned to the clock, face paralized in fear. She's coming.

Then the window shattered inwards.

Elise spun around, her heart skipping a beat. The figure was no older then 18, with long, coal black hair, and pointed ears. She was wearing a deep maroon t-shirt, with black jeans and black combat boots. A flaming sword was held in her hands, and a ruby dagger poked out from the girls back pocket. On her face, covering her eyes and nose, was a chalk white mask.

Elise screamed, flailing the fire poker infront of her. "D-Dont come near me!" She yelled.

The girl aproched Elise, making the light of the flaming sword play on everything.

"You've been very naughty." The girl said. "Haven't you, Elise?"

Elise shook her head. "I dont know what your talking about!"

"Come on." The girl said, stopping in her approch. "I've seen you. We've all seen you."

"We?" Elise asked.

"We."

Thousands of voices entered Elise's head, pounding aggainst her skull, pressing onto her brain, making her screamd again and claw at her head. "It hurts!" She screamed, curling into a fetal position, dropping the fire poker.

The girl advanced again, speaking softer. "But it's okay. I can make that pain go away."

The girl placed a finger under Elise's chin, tilting her head up, to make her look into the mask's eye slits.

"Its okay." The girl repeated, sticking the sword in the floor and taking the ruby dagger from her pocket. "I can make it all go away."

Elise jerked back, pushing the girl as far away from her as possible. "Get back!" She screamed, running towards the door.

Elise stopped abruptly, seeing flamins lick from her stomach. Looking down, she saw the flaming sword protrude from her heart, the flaming quickly engulfing her whole body. The voices grew louder, as if they were circling Elise's while body.

The girl pulled the sword smoothly from Elise's heart, her blood making the flames go redder, more crimson.

"That was your last chance, but you ruined it in a wicked dance, and your soul will die, along with all the others who i've come by." The girl whispered in Elise's ear, shaking her head.

The voices chanted over and over-

'The Elf Girl has won! The Elf Girl has won! The Elf Girl has-'

The Elise Gwen's heart stopped beating.
